Artist Statement
I have spent my working life building a catering company that allowed me to combine my family history in food with my passion for art and design. It has been a four-decade business journey that has enabled me to pursue art at the same time, working in a series of studios in New York City and in Litchfield County, Ct.
My family history and love of food finds expression in my work most often by incorporating fish. Fish resonates deeply with me as I grew up working in the family fish market. Fish are symbolic of family, food, love and history. They are a fundamental part of my being.
